La Milady: your questions answered
What tide should you surf at La Milady?
Low tide suits beginners, while mid tide suits more experienced surfers. At high tide, the shorebreak gets livelier.
What kind of waves are there at La Milady?
A beach break that works well on a small north-westerly swell with an east to south-easterly wind. The left at the southern end of the beach is the best known and fairly mellow, a right sometimes forms at the northern end, and the best waves often stand up near the rocky points.
What are the hazards at La Milady?
The rocks, at the end of a wave or when you wipe out, and strong rips that can drag you out to sea. The beach map also flags submerged rocks, so stay within the surf zone marked by the flags.
